Type 2 diabetes
SiDiary allows to track your daily data with up to four different drug types. You can track a combination of pills and insulin or use our software to support you, if you are just using weight control within a base therapy.
Type 1 diabetes
People with type 1 diabetes must be treated with insulin generally. Most of them are treated with an ICT (Intensive Conventional Therapy)...
Blind people & diabetes
Blind people with diabetes are now able to manage their diabetes with SiDiary with a highly optimized blind mode.
Pumpers
You can manage all of your basal profiles with SiDiary's pumper functionalities. SiDiary can track the basal sums for your daily logs automatically when you have assigned the profiles to the appropriate weekdays.
Kids & Teens
If your kid is away from home and tracks his current level, you can let SiDiary inform you about critical levels by an SMS message to your mobile phone...
Gestational diabetes
Increased blood glucose levels represent a risk for mother and child. Both are at risk and that means that gestational diabetes has to be treated with a pretty strong treatment.

How SiDiary can help you with your type1 diabetes

People with type 1 diabetes must be treated with insulin generally. Most of them are treated with an ICT (Intensive Conventional Therapy).
This means that they must inject a long acting insulin for their basal need and additional injections with a fast acting insulin type for every carb intake.

Treating diabetes type 1 with an ICT means to take several blood glucose level readings during the day:

- At the morning after getting up
- Before every carb intake
- At the evening before going to bed

If you are taking these blood glucose readings just as a snapshot and for your bolus dose calculation you don't need to maintain a diabetes log book but then you are also giving away a fantastic tool for optimizing your whole treatment and to prevent from the feared late issues like renal failure etc.!

Example I:
You are enjoying a meal in your favorite restaurant and estimate the number of carbs coming with this meal. Some hours after that meal you encounter an unnormally high blood glucose level. Something went wrong. Probably your carb estimation was understated.
Two months later you are ordering the same meal in that restaurant. Without your log book it would be hard to remember the number of carbs that you have estimated last time and that you encountered the problem with the arising level after that meal. With SiDiary on your Pocket PC or a Smartphone this look up is pretty easy and you can continue with really enjoying your meal...
With SiDiary on your preferred mobile device you can look at your records everywhere at any time.

One goal of a therapy like ICT is to simulate an insulin progression which is close to the human mechanism. ICT uses 2 different insuline types to achieve this. In some cases it might be useful to use even more different insulin types:

Example II:
- You are using the insulin type Semilente during the night because you want to cover a Dawn-phenomenon with a morning increase of your bg levels
- During the day you are using a NPH insulin for your basal need
- You are taking insulin shots of an analog insulin type for your breakfast to damp the after-meal peak and to not must wait too long before you can start with your meal after the injection.
- and additional insulin shots during the day for the other mealtimes

SiDiary is one of the few software products that can handle such constellation with 4 different insulin types.

Tip: Don't watch your A1c ("long time blood glucose parameter") as the one and only important value, but to the ups and downs of your bg level also! The smaller they are the smaller is your risk to get concerned by problems with your eyes and the nerves although your A1c might have an acceptable range. SiDiary is supporting you with watching the standard deviation of your readings. The smaller this number is the more stable is your diabetes condition.
